Sochi 2014 Olympics starts today, February 6th, 2014. Technically, it's still 02/05/2014 where I'm writing this from, but all those pre-opening events start literally in couple hours from now.
With your installation of AceStream HD Player/Magic Player (Ubuntu installation is detailed here) you may be able to find good streams here or at your favourite TS sites. Complete, if biased coverage might be reserved for Russian sources though.
Of course, apart from Ace P2P HD Player, there could be other transports available for viewing Sochi Olympics online live (or pre-recorded) streams. Some of them are listed here.
Connoisseurs of 4K Sochi Olympics recorded coverage should ask Comcast on availability. Eurosport? NTT? I've no idea yet, and will update this my post if I will find something.
