While "previous" generation of IGZO displays is yet about to show up this December (in the form of Sharp's Aquos Pad, and Möbius Pad, etc.) in Japan mostly, there's a newer, better generation of IGZO displays was demoed at CEATEC 2013 recently. New technology is called IGZO MEMS, and according to Diginfo.tv, it drastically improves transparency of already very bright IGZO display by utilizing MEMS shutters:
Older, "traditional" IGZO display technology is nowhere short of amazing still. Just look at this Fujitsu UH90/L 14" Haswell Ultrabook with a 3200x1800 pixel IGZO screen:
As usual, I'm pretty sensitive to sharp stylus capabilities of a device of my interest, so here we go with this SHT:
As of today, you can get this SHT21 in Japan for about
¥ 42,800 which roughly translates into US $438. It's a strong no-go for this market, IGZO, or IGZO MEMS, it doesn't matter. Sharp is not Apple.
