Asus VivoTab Note 8: Uneducated Observations

There are plenty of reviews for Asus VivoTab Note 8, serious ones and authoritative ones like from Chippy of UMPC Portal fame, or artistic dismissals like here.

What's above is just my Sketchbook doodling for 10 minutes. I used my Sensu capacitive brush and  stock ASUS Wacom pen. I also borrowed a Fujitsu Wacom pen from my Fujitsu Lifebook T5010 to get better precision at edges.

All tools work just fine, each for its specific task: paintery effects look better when using brush, which perfectly natural, and pen is good for penciling details.

Stock stylus has a useless knob that should be replaced by capacitive rubber:
Нашлепка по размеру из токопроводящей резины на этот скошенный торец, плюс металлизация цилиндра пера на длину в пару дюймов (под пальцы) с этого конца должны помочь.

Sure, I bet 10-inch Windows 8.1 tablet like Surface Pro 2 will be much handier. But it all goes for a price. I bet this AVTN 8 slate will lose another $100 from its price tag very soon. I doubt the same will happen to Surface Pro 2 slates any time soon.

Надо б переключиться на ArtRage, но жаба душит: он с кистями и прочими прибамбасами где-то за $50 стоит.
