HP Slate 21 Pro All-in-One

HP unveiled their HP Slate 21 Pro large tablet/all-in-one, or as they prefer to call it,  HP Slate21 Pro AiO. It's a very strange choice of naming catchwords to slap on a product, namely that "Pro" add-on. The previous, non-Pro model called HP Slate21 AiO (or HP Slate21 non-Pro AiO, if you wish) is at least as much "Pro" in terms of performance and usability than this new HP Slate21 Pro AiO. While HP Slate "Pro" AiO's specs are at best sketchy now: a 21.5 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS touchscreen display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Android 4.3 on Tegra 4, one can easily see that previous model has nothing to be ashamed of specs-wise, except for basing its "all-in-one" function on Android 4.2.

Well, there's a notion that "Pro" slate is designed more towards kiosk and POS types of deployments. Sure, with a rumored MSRP of $399 it might be attractive in these roles, and it also may mean that older non-Pro model can be discounted quite soon. Anyone for this HP Slate21 at about $299?

Putting these at POSes may have undesired consequences though. Jokes aside, I'd rather see a Wacom screen on this HP Slate21 Pro tablet. Hey HP, make it an option instead of coughing up dozen different tablets every single quarter.
