Apple Announces iPhone 5s
This is the blog about tablets and some phablets, with screens of 5", 5.5", and 6+" diagonals. I'm not particularly interested in yesteryear designs with 4" screens, no matter how much fake gold one puts on their backs.
Today's Apple's announcement of their iPhone 5s model deserves mentioning here because of its 64 bit A7 chip, for which Apple claims 40x performance improvement on CPU, and 56 times better GPU performance. These claims sound like Intel's Bay Trail, even Haswell and Quark chip designers should go hang themselves.
Or it's nothing if the very first iPhone was taken as a base for comparison, so you may keep your Sony Xperia Z Ultra or your favorite other brand based on Snapdragon 800 as still top of the hill device.
Newer Apple camera beats Sony QX10/QX100? No way, it's exactly 56 times worse.
Well, like I said, it's not my topic: once Apple decides to announce 7 inch iPhone 7 with 2K IGZO front screen and e-ink back screen Yota phone style instead of that fool's gold there then sure, wake me up.
64 bit Android 5 will also be an interesting announcement. Though IMHO it would be easier to build QNX with 64 bit support -- and get rid of Android lag for good.
