Plenty of questions on xReader and other apps:

In the quest for better alternatives to adobe acrobat reader and editor I totally missed the simple xreader aka document viewer in LM 19.1 cinnamon (others?). I have tried various web recommended alternatives like libra office draw, Okular, Scribus, and adobe acrobat installed in wine (with winetricks). They all have issues. Okular won't work with some form formats, couldn't use to edit a 1040. Scribus isn't really a pdf editor, libra office draw really is hard to work with for editing pdfs. Acrobat in wine is ok but would have to still pay for the pro version.

But in LM 19.1 accessories, I've found the simple xreader to be the best free option. Who knew? I discovered that for myself just by clicking on a my 1040 PDF. Displays it really well, better than the above and edited fine. Heh. Has it been upgraded? I don't remember this capability in LM17xx or prior (I skipped 18.x).

Should come up promoted in the lists of top free acrobat alternatives..
