White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently warned Canada of severe consequences over its plans to restrict electricity exports to the U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a 50% tariff on Canadian aluminum and steel, which has doubled the initial proposal. Ontario Premier Doug Ford has criticized the U.S. administration, urging Trump to stop escalating the situation. Trump rescinded the threat and agreed to keep tariffs at 25% after Ford also agreed not to restrict electricity exports.

We'll see who really caves.
