Agree. I used to see him on the BBC,. so I know he's aware of German history during the Cold War (he was born in Essen in 1963,, his parents came from Silesia) but it's clear that he sees European history very much through an Anglo-Saxon lens. He never makes the comparison between how Russia is acting when infringed and what the US would have behaved like in a similar situation, let's say with Mexico inviting China to set up naval bases on their coasts.
