It's one of the best wallpaper collections and wallpaper changers for Ubuntu out there. I personally like live wallpapers, my favourite is this one:
Webupd8.org, usually very informative and "updated" site has reminded me to try new Wallch version. But this time an obvious installation routine:
didn't work for me: wallch 4.0 repo disappeared without a trace, at least for me.
I'd be moving on the same moment of this repo failure as I have too many headaches divining what else out of hardware of my my HP 6930p apart from its motherboard failed:
Sure, the mobo can be had for just $13....$25, a 6930p inverter costs about $10, so no big deal if my diagnosis of dying mobo would turn wrong. However, it sucks sitting here waiting for the mobo delivery 3rd week in a row, just to check.
So, I just can't be bothered much by some missing repo right now.
As a last ditch effort I checked Ubuntu Software Center, and lo and behold, Wallch 4.0 is there! Installed it and tuned it up, Webupd8.org is at least quite useful for tuning Wallch up, but defaults are just fine, and new Wallch works out of the box.
Just remember that using a non-native screen resolution is not a good idea.
I like this "classic" wallpaper clock, but there's plenty more very modern and IMHO very dumb other clocks, Live Earth, Picture of the day from Wikipedia, Live Website, etc., take your pick. I'd be adding another weather dial (like old-fashioned barometer, e.g.)

Enjoy!
P.S. Anyone has a good live wallpaper with, say, giant Rolex dial plus "barometer" dial with weather and maybe news ticker tape?
