Oil pastels on boarded canvas, work in progress. Background will be designed from Google Street View's exact address, the present sketch is just an idea of space. I will be finishing it in traditional Lefranc & Bourgeois oil colours, in sfumatos here and there, et un peu vernis satine.
Baked me a "smetannik" (sour cream based bread) while waiting for decent reference pictures:

As vobla goes at $17 per pound in San Jose, CA, this gonna be pretty expensive portrait I'm sketching here.
