It's not really a news for those who follow the progress of BlackBerry 10, or even the RIM BB Playbook OS upgrades here in this blog. On html5test.com, the dominance of BB 10 beta browser with its 485 score (out of 500 available points) is known for several months already. The fact that some obscure "mobile" browser may beat majority of "desktop" browsers just didn't register with the crowd.
The Gadget Masters have recently published some simple comparisons that show how BB 10 nameless browser beats browsers of iPhone 5 and Windows Phone 8 to a pulp. You may also take into consideration that BB 10's hardware is nowhere near iPhone 5 or Windows Phone in performance. Here's a picture of total destruction of iPhone 5:
And here's the Windows Phone 8's turn to be utterly disgraced:
BB 10 OS will be available also for RIM BB Playbook, too, so for all the connoisseurs of browsers with utmost performance the pre-owned BB Playbook can be had for pittance like $99.99 from Cowboom: http://slickdeals.net/f/5793744-Rim-BlackBerry-16GB-7in-PlayBook-with-WiFi-99-99-more-pre-owned . Reminds me of HP TouchPad fire sale, but there's a huge difference: BB OS development was never abandoned.
Of course, you can also go full monty and get this BlackBerry Z10 phone itself for about $149...$199 from carriers with 2-year plan.
And the results are here to stay.
