Blackberry OS 3.0?

Lucas Atkins of n4bb.com has an exclusive information about RIM starting to develop OS 3.0 for its Blackberry Playbook. The "leak" is so thin, it looks more like a drop. However, just the fact that such development even exists has brought many BB Playbook connoisseurs into fantasizing mood. Lucas himself muses:

What could be in PlayBook OS 3.0? Perhaps PlayBook OS 3.0 will utilize TAT cascades in a more robust manner. Maybe we’ll finally see the release of BBM, since it will be absent in the release of OS 2.0. Or, we could see PlayBook OS 3.0 be the true evolution into BlackBerry 10, which will then unite both phone and tablet.
Let me do some explaining for non-Playbookers (or non-Blackberrians, if you wish).

1. BBM, or BlackBerry Messenger is a proprietary instant messaging application working across many Blackberry devices (phones). Its non-inclusion into current, as of 02/09/2012, betas of OS 2.0 can't convince me it won't show up in OS 2.0 "Final" which is, by many reports and estimates, is just two weeks away. Even if it won't, there's practically no technical, or hardware limitation for it to not show up in something like BB Playbook OS 2.1. Or BB Playbook OS 2.5, if you like the figure better.
Personally, I don't own Blackberry phone. I don't even plan to own one, sorry. But it's not that I love iOS or Android produce too much. Far from it. Not getting into any details why, as you can find them throughout my blog, I don't see BBM, or even a "native" email app as being so ultimate that it takes a (long) wait till OS 3.0.

2. Likewise, I'm pretty unmoved by "true evolution into Blackberry 10". My concern here is that instead of unclear, murky prospects of Blackberry 10 as a unified platform for both BB phones and BB Playbook, I'd rather see a development that employs all the powers and advantages of QNX as leading RTOS. If it leaves many BB phones without QNX, that's perfectly OK with me.

3. TAT Cascades might be a completely different beast. So paint me interested, lol. I don't want to waste too many words, you need just to watch this:

Those were "big" hopes and desires for BB Playbook OS 3.0. My personal and very humble, small wishes are: a) USB Host, to have some SD Card/Flash/3G dongle for my BB Playbook, b)tethering/interconnectivity with non-RIM devices. Well, I don't think one needs to wait till OS 3.0 for these to be implemented. Besides, as rooting history of BB Playbook has shown, if the real need arises in such features that might be anathema for RIM, it will be satisfied.
